Our
services are divided in two categories:
- Geophysical Services
- Related Services
|
1. Geophysical Services
Geophysical services refer to data acquisition; field surveys are
completed using the appropriate geophysical method and various equipment.
A brief description of each geophysical method is presented below
and is easily accessed with a click of the mouse. Géophysique
TMC offers the following services:
|
|
Magnetic survey (MAG)
Used as a primary geophysical tool, magnetic surveys measure differences
in the magnetic susceptibility of rock formations and give a geological
picture of an area.
|

|
|
VLF
survey (Very Low Frequency)
A quick, cheap and efficient prospecting tool that can detect various
conductive zones (massive mineralization, structures, contacts,
overburden, etc).
|

|
|
Electromagnetic
survey (MAXMIN)
This method can locate conductors to a depth of 150 m and delineate
their physical properties by using multiple frequencies (110 - 14
080 Hz) and different transmitter-receiver separations.
|

|
|
Induced
polarization (IP)
Very efficient for locating zones of disseminated minerals by using
various arrays and electrode spacing. This method also measures
the resistivity of the rock (silicified zones, shear zones, etc.)
|

|
|
Surface
Pulse EM Survey (DEEP-EM)
A time domain tool that uses large transmitting loops and a high-power
transmitter (4 kW). This deep penetration method can locate conductors
to a depth of 300 to 400 m, depending on the configuration used
and the size of the targets.
|

|
|
Bore-hole
Pulse EM
This method can locate the presence of conductive mineralized
zones within 200m of a bore-hole, whatever the depth of the hole.
This makes drilling more cost-effective and helps choose the next
drilling target.

2. Related Services
Related services refer to work that assist data acquisition. For
example: preliminary work, like setting up camps and line cutting,
can be managed by TMC with the assistance of its partners; the interpretation
report that follows a survey is supplied by reputed geophysicists.See:
"Partners" .
